CHAMPSS (Choosing Healthy Appetizing Meal Plan Solutions for Seniors) allows those age 60 and older to choose from different entrees and eat at their convenience seven days a week at CHAMPSS locations throughout Shawnee, Jefferson, and Douglas counties. This program is for active persons who are not home bound and can go to the CHAMPSS site to eat their meals. Participants must complete an orientation and submit a registration packet to enroll in the program. Participants are also encouraged to make the suggested donation of $3.50 per meal. No one is denied a meal if they are unable to donate.

Due to the popularity of the program starting October 10th, we regret to announce a temporary suspension of new enrollments into the CHAMPSS program. Services for those enrolled will resume on.
Residents interested in the CHAMPSS program can complete a form and will be contacted when their application reaches the top of the waiting list.

Please remember when paying by Check, Money Order or Cashier’s Check it should be made payable to Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging or JAAA.

Call the JAAA office at 785.235.1367 or 800.798.1366, Monday – Friday from 8am to 4:30pm for donations using a credit or debit card.
In Person:

Be a current CHAMPSS customer.
Have an active JAAA CHAMPSS Card.
Reside in Jefferson, Shawnee, or Douglas County
Please allow 2 business days to process your online order.
$3.50 Suggested Donation per meal
